Al can't do much with just an ECU reflash, to my knowledge, no disrespect intended, etc.
I had your same opinion before I tried the XEDE, by the way and the everyday driveability, smoothness and flat torque curve of it still makes me giggle. That is, when coupled with the right hardware. It also has a few trick features that you can't do with an ECU reflash, like WI, stutterbox, multiple programs, etc.

a 2-step(stutterbox) is a great idea if you want to have perfect consistent launches everytime... it might be possible to have it flashed into the computer if it notices that the car is being revved and the clutch is not released yet

Did a search and I guess Ultimate Racing researched this already a while ago...Can't seem to work with our ignition setup...Did Ultimate Racing ever come out with their own like they said they would?

This is the Hondata ECU unit (for Honda's )with launch control and full throttle shift features...

8000rpm launch... 10000 rpm shifts... gas to the floor the whole time in Eric Racing's car.
I'm running the Hondata S200 on my SC GSR (I have not activated these features though)... Car runs like stock, except it can eat my reflashed Evo's ***. I'd also like the shift light feature along with the other two on the Evo...

just my opinion, props on the features though. so basically we are going to need some sort of piggy back to achieve this. I used to have an oldschool dsm buddy, no disrespect, that said there was a company at one time, I think it was called xflash, no relation to your flash Shiv, that was able to incorporate a stutter box feature along with some weird things like having to depress the brake peddle in a certain series to allow the vehicle to start, but then again that was the dsm ecu. anyone else ever heard of this? I would like to hear from Al on this, at least to hear his experiences with this feature with the stand alone systems.

Just so everyone knows, the AEM EMS has the two step rev limit function built in, and I use it at the drag strip to good effect. Last time I was there I had it set too low and didn't have my laptop along to adjust it. Even with it set too low I was able to build a few psi of boost at the line.... but next time things will be even better
