cold weather overboost?

the past couple weeks have been on and off very cold here in jersey. today when i got up it was about 13degrees. as soon as i got on the highway i noticed my boost shoot way up past 25 so i let off quickly. i tried the gas a little again to see if it was just a fluke but it happenes again. this happened another time a week or 2 ago when it was below 20 degrees. I have a turbo xs mbc controlling boost right now. i was wondering if it is possible if the internals could possibly be getting frozen because last time it stopped during mid day when it warmed up a little. i also have a brand new buschur racing mbc up in my room i can install but havent gotten around to it. any ideas??

dirty evo for looks

man I think you might have damaged your car if it shot past 25psi.
I hope you dont have a damaged head gasket and or turbo. How far up do you think it went? Thats why you should have a modified boost pill, not just take out the stock one.
forget the MBC and get the right orfice pill to limit it to 24psi tops if on 92-93 gas, unless you got upgrades.

He more than likely did not damage his car. A. He stated he was only overboosting for a second, and B. Im positive his car retarded timing a ton if it was picking up high counts of knock. My MBC creeps with temp changes so I just turn it down when it gets cold. No big deal, you just have to stay on top of it.
