I'd be curious as to why the crank broke instead of making the assumption that ALL 4g64 cranks are bad. There are lots of shops that use "crank kits" to build their engines which are nothing more than re-manned pieces and are often cracked right out of the box. Add high RPMs and boost to that and you end up with a broken crank. Done right, the 4g64 cranks work fine.
Was the motor balanced?
Proper balancer installed?
Correct clearances?
Balance shafts?
