2.3l stroker or 2.1l destroker

cool man. my personal opinion is you should probably wind up going with a 2.3l if there your only two options. have you thought about full out build 2.0? i think you could acheive that much power on a built 2.0 what turbo set up are you gonna be running and what are you planning on doing?

for the 600-700whp-- at 8500rpm a 2.3 is the choice to have based on that alone.
Now depending on what you'll be doing with the car there are benefits to your other selection and/or other setups.
Check out DTM's 2.4 mivec stroker setup. TONS of different options with that block.

2.1 is a great motor best rod ratio motor there is i believe. But i dont think you really need it to rev to only 8500rpms. I would say the only turbo you really need a 2.1 for is a 42r to get the 10000rpms+ that motor allows you to rev to. For your turbo option i think a stroker would probably be your best bet and you would be around the max rev on the 2.3 at 8500rpms.

^exactly... 8500 is around the max you want to push a 2.3 unless you have some trick stuff.
You have a wide range of options... but you have to say what you'll be doing with the car!
Daily driver, drag, road race, drift, etc, etc, etc.
Without that info you can't really "optimize" your setup for what you will be doing.
Do you have an idea of what you want to do with it?
