I did not even know anything about this until I found this. Thank you for the great info. I am going to remove mine this weekend. I have a centerforce stage 3 clutch and I thought it was strange that know matter how fast I would let the clutch out it still chattered. I think this is why, the car must be slipping the clutch. I know I'm not. Thanks for the info.

Yeah the stock clutch chatters really bad in the cold, i have a feeling this attributes to it. I am pretty sure i am taking it out.

It was night and day for me and only took like maybe 30 minutes to do if you know what you are doing and I used the evomoto writeup on it. It made a big difference from before to after removing it. I now have a different clutch and ss line, but I ran just the restrictor pill removed for awhile before my stock clutch didnt want anymore drag racing. I got like 40k+ miles out of my clutch. And like most people have said, removing this does nothing that hurts the clutch, if anything it helps the longevity of it.

I just bored out and increased the oriface diameter to about midway from stock to having it removed. Much easier to controll and slip.

Restrictor is there to fry clutch instead of tranny for joe consumer driving

You'll notice a different not only with launching or high rpm shifts, but also normal driving. The clutch will have a consistent engagement point which isn't there with the stock clutch/line/pill. I did the ss line and pill removal at the same time, but it was a big difference. It really makes it feel like it should feel.. if that makes sense.

If you haven't done the shifter linkage bushings yet, this would be a good time to do that as well.. you will get better clutch pedal feel from the line and pill removal and better shifter feel from the bushings all at the same time. Its these little things that make the car more enjoyable to drive.. whether it be spirited driving or just plain old around town driving.
