Need help deciding on next mod

I currently have APS turbo back exhaust, APS cold air intake, APS dual vent bov, and APEXi SAFC II on my evo. I can't decide what I should do next, I want a good gain in HP but I don't have a ton of money right now because of school . I'm lookin to spend around 1,000. Any suggestions?

Get some GSC S1 or 272 cams. An example of how cheaply you can get them is right here. Also, sell your S-AFC and use that money to help you get a custom flash after the cam install.

Sell the bov and the Apexi SAFC, get cams and a good meth kit, and tune your stock ecu. You will be more the plesantly surprised with the added power.

Ugh, I just noticed he was running a blow off valve.

Yes, get rid of that thing as well.

The APS hybrid BOV is a great BOV. It might be overkill but it holds more boost than the IX BOV. It has no driveability issues either. It was a great BOV choice back when there was no Evo IX and VIII owners had to get rid of the crappy plastic OEM BOV.
I do agree that you need an ECU tune in place of the SAFC2.

I'd seriously look at getting rid of the blow off valve as well and replacing it with a stock Evo 9 bypass valve.

what kind of change in numbers would i see? (roughly) i like the sound of my BOV so i don't really want to part with it but i the number were significant enough i would lean more towards getting rid of it

The simple fact that you would no longer be venting metered air to atmosphere would be reason enough for me to get rid of it. When you do that, you cause the car to turn rich in between shifts. If your car was running via speed-density air metering then it would be understandable as to why you are venting to atmosphere, but since you're not, it's... well...
