I have been making over 500HP to the wheels since March of 07 and its my daily driver.

This thread says stock engine. You don't have stock engine.
Were you gonna mention your block arp studs at any point?

It's the same when people say they run 30psi on pump gas. And you have to spend 15 pages to try and pry out that they actually spray meth....

If you dont have the $$$ to build it you dont have the money to blow it up either.. It will costs you thousands more to rebuild it than to do it right the 1st time..

it can be done and many people have been doing it for a while, one of my friends is running a 35r at 30psi on a stock motor, from my experience though go ahead and build, every motor is different and its cheaper to build now. my car broke a rod bolt with about 400whp cruising at 3500rpm on the interestate with only 27k on the motor, so if your gonna do it do it right and build first it will save you alot of money and hassel

I know a couple of speed racers that could probably turn that safe tune into a box of broken rods!

Seriously in my opinion a daily driven setup for X amount of miles does not equate to the speed racer who wants to abuse it on a regular basis.
There are many cars out there making XXX amount of power on a stock block but it's also the driving technique that's used that can have an affect on the durability of the setup. That's why some have good or bad luck when the limit of stock parts are being pushed. I know of someone that's making 580hp on a stock block that's been driven daily for many thousand of miles but not continously at that output level though.
What everyone have to accept is that yes it can make X amount of power on a stock block but don't be dissapointed if something was to go wrong eventually. If you can't afford to build it to support the power then you should not be pushng it to the limit where stuf has been known to go wrong for others.

Hey Cris. Its been a while.
You know my car and you know how I drive. No my car is no track car. I dont want it to be. Thats not what I am about and I dont claim to be a racer.
My car is driven daily and its my only means of transportation, I cant afford for any down time. So needless to say I drive it as easy as possible. Not to say I dont get on it when needed of course. Im sure there are many people out there can turn any motor built or not into several boxes of bolts again thats all relative.

Can be done.............some folks have had problems........GOING BOOM AND SUCH.... I have been fortunate to not have that happen. [knocks on big tree in the front yard ]

Check the link in my sig. Arp head studs and HKS 272's, everything else is stock for the motor.

At 20 psi [for normal] driving, it's about 411 hp. 93 octane
At 30 psi [for other] types of driving, it's 546 hp. C16

Holding strong so far.

Very possible indeed, I have seen 566whp on a stock block before. But it is not very safe. Just save yourself the trouble and do it right the FIRST time. Because trust me, it will costs more in the long run if you put a hole in your block. Be smart. Good luck
