Cometic is garbage. Locals have used it and have had horrible experiences with it. Steer clear of it.

The only headgaskets we stock are OEM and Cosworth available in various thicknesses.

your best bet is to o-ring they cylinders by machining a shallow groove into the fire-ring area of the block or head around each cylinder bore then installing gapless machined-steel rings or steel wire into the groove.
I don't think he's talking about a thicker gasket, just more layers. I'm fairly certain the VIII and IX gaskets are the same thickness overall.

One thing I noticed is that I can not get Cosworth STD bore gasket.

Sorry for this question but.... What do you do on STB bore application? Use the 66mm?

You mean 86mm? I'd call Cosworth, maybe they have some insight.

I'm bringing this back from the dead because it is amazing. I am looking into buying a HG right now and this has been a great help. I'm going to look into the IX OE gasket.
