no you aren't.

Boost gauges lie. Get a good map sensor and log it.

Yes I meant stretch the bolts which hold the head to the block so its technically stretching the head off the block. I've seen plenty of cars with bad tunes or inadequate failsafes which is the reason why I say detonation is more likely. Of course when it does work it will run cooler and cleaner.

I ran my car at 34+ psi for over 15k and never had a problem at all.. I'm not the only one...

Every fast stock turbo car down here in south fl ( i'm not the only one making ridiculous stock turbo numbers) are all running 30+ psi for long periods of time.

Not one of us got headstuds, its just pointless on stock turbo... Youre not going to hold the boost for that to happen...

If anyone is eager to buy headstuds for stock turbo, please PM me i'd love to sell you other useless stuff too =-) JP

Cheers!

y do u wanna run so much boost on a stock turbo it is not efficient at that boost level. it is smarter to just run more timing. you get same HP and more torque that way and more consecutive numbers. but to each his own. with my meth setup i run 21psi tapering to 20ish with 24 degrees advanced timing on 91 octane and pure meth

^ 21 psi on meth is a waste of meth. Man up and turn it up to 25-28.

^ do u kno anything about turbos? i mean anything at all? if you did you would kno a small compressor like a 16 which we have stock is efficient between 16-20ish psi. running 26psi isnt doing much for ur car it isnt flowing much more air and the air is extremely hot because of how hard the turbo has to work to push that boost. sure u run psi but how much airflow are you actually getting its airflow that makes power not boost. y do u think a 35r on 20psi makes more power than a 16 on the same psi. its airflow. and methanol reacts better to timing advance since it burns 4 times slower than gasoline. the sooner u can ignite it the better it will burn resulting in better power gains.

You are missing out on a HUGE area under the curve by only running 21psi.

100% fact

Yes you want to taper it up top to keep the stock turbo in it's efficiency range, but you are really losing out on a huge part of the curve with only 21psi peak.

But, like you said, to each their own.

I guarantee you will get more airflow through the midrange with more boost there.

I too am running spike to 26 psi hold 25 psi to redline on a TME and I hit 27 psi the other night w/ no knock, if you are tuning for knock and you dont have any, there is nothing wrong w/ running this much boost on pump and obviously people are doing it on there meth and non meth setups.
