will i have to do a retune

hey guys, i have a 05 evo VIII(8), i was wondering if i would have to do a retune if i put headers on it. if there not called headers then the pipe that goes from the motor to the turbo. right now i have a hks silent hi power exhaust, k and n intake/ filter and an hks bov. if i have to do a retune to put headers on, please tell me cause i realy dont want to do one. Thanks

its called a manifold :P, and i wouldnt unless your getting someone to dyno tune it. if its just a mail in id say dont even bother


AND DEAR GOD, Did i miss something or does everyone now days buy Evo's with HKS SSQV from the dealerships or some ****?

headers=more than one

header=one

Save for cams and a tune, dont waste your time on an exhaust manifold because "it looks cool"

nope but if your trying to free up exhuast, why not also put on a tbe and port 02.

no i didnt buy mine withanything, it was just stock. but thanks guys. ahh cops are hevy by my house cause i live right next to a high school so i dont want to cam cams and tbe and all that cause if i get pulled over and have to get it checked out then i want to be able to stick the stock manifold on and go get it checked. and pass smog. but anyway, thanks for the info guys

are you kidding....do you know anything about the car you own, or are you just going to be one of those owners that just starts throwing parts at it and hope it sounds cool.

You can have a ported stock manifold that makes more power and more torque than the manifold you are about to put on or thinking of. Best thing is a ported manifold doesn't look modded. And no you do not need a retune.
