Evo 8 and Evo 9 LSD's

So i found an 03 evoIII for sale local to me and extremely interested in it, my question tho is from what i've read i understand the front lsd on the 03's is open then viscous mid, and the rear is clutch? how much of a performance difference, specifically turning capability is the open front compared to the 04+ helical? and is it worth upgrading? thanks!

The 2003 all-wheel-drive system uses a viscous-coupling center differential a 1.5-way clutch type rear diff, and an open front diff.
