RSR made the BEST exhaust system for the 2G DSM's (i.e. Talon/Eclipse). Very high quality, very quiet, great sound. Do they make a system for the Evo? They stopped importing to the US years ago - are they back?

RS*R is back in the US. http://www.rs-r.com/

They already have an exhaust for the Evo 8. Try XS Engineering for more information.

RSR is back in the US. They make excellent exhausts, probably the best exhaust available for those concerned about the noise level of their exhaust. Personally, thought, it seems they are a little restrictive for the benefit of reduced sound. But at least in the DSMs you can run very fast with them.

I have since been informed that the "new" RSR is not the same quality as the "old" RSR. Seems WRX owners are having fitment problems with the RSR downpipes. And the exhausts don't have the same sound and quality as the old ones.... I still would love to hear what one sounds like.

real RSR stuff is very high quality and has never had any fitment issues from what I have heard.

Also, I know for a fact that RSR has not released any downpipes or exhausts yet for the WRX or EVO. Only the magazines got a few sample pieces. Call any RSR dealer and they will tell you the same. I've been waiting for over a month now for my real RSR exhaust.

I think you must be referring to the Invidia knock offs that look like RSR. Everyone I know hates Invidia stuff because its made in taiwan. Those look like RSR and even have the RSR logo BUT they are not real RSR!!!

BUYER BEWARE!!!

INVIDIA IS NOT RSR.

I guess thats what you get when you buy copied stuff that is made in Taiwan.

RSR talks all about it on their website here:
http://rs-r.com/faq.htm

on another note, the EVO 8 exhaust looks pretty good on their website.

The RS-R is the exhaust I'm waiting for.

Also looking forward to the Apexi N-1 Ti exhaust that should be released soon, however I like the sound from the RS-R's alot better than the Apexi.

hey guys...just signed up...but have been browsing ever since i get my evo in march, BTW that blue evo in the picture above is my car, a buddy of mine works at XS engineering and he hooked me up with RSR, they test fited the exhaust on my car so i got it for free...as for sound...i dont have any sound clips, but it sounds great, deep and throaty. their is no resonator on the final production ExMag GTII for the USDM EVO VIII. it comes w/ a silencer for the muffler, w/ this installed, car sounds almost like stock, but i run it w/out. it is a cat back 3in system

Thanks for tuning in and answering my question. How is the ground clearance on that exhaust? how big is the tip?

Would that RSR exhaust work with lets say RMR's or Buschuras downpipe/testpipe/hiflo cats?

I was just on RSR's website checking out the specs on the exhaust. For the EVO the listing said that it had 70-80 mm piping.
Does that mean that it starts off at 70mm by the cat and then expand to 80mm?
