Why are BOVs that VTA not good for MAF?

I run my car with the Tial BOV and stock ECU/MAF. Run perfectly fine. Actually better than with a stock Evo 9 crush BOV. Part throttle is perfect also. So I guess it have to do with the tune. The side effect is you'll spit a fire ball every now and then. I used the Tial BOV because my stock 9 BOV can't hold boost over 23 psi even it's crushed.

It might have to do with the "crushing" job. My stock one holds 27psi+ with no crushing. Crushed properly its suppose to hold 30psi+
