I have half a bottle of DOT3 Prestone brake fluid, and I would like to bleed my clutch. Just curious if using this is ok, or whether or not I should just go get something else.

Also, dot3/4, whats your recommendation? Thanks!

You could use the half full bottle for the clutch, but I would get fresh fluid for the brakes. Like we all know, brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, which is a no no when it comes to hot brakes.

If I were you, I would go to the local parts store and get the cheepest DOT 4 brake fluid.

Use a DOT4 since the clutch and brakes share the same reservoir. I personally like Valvoline SynPower; its a high quality street brake fluid that doesn't cost too much and is very easy to find.
