AEM Wideband

Hey everyone I am looking to get an AEM Uego wideband o2 sensor and just wondering where would I stick the sesnsor? I know you need to have it 36 inches from the turbo so as not to cause premature wear. So could I just stick it in the test pipe where my rear o2 sensor is located?

Thanks

I have mine mounted on my test pipe, just after the downpipe; reads perfect.

you could but then you will get a check engine light for not having the rear o2 sensor. You can bypass the check engine light with this thread but you wont pass emission

I have my bung welded for my wideband on my downpipe.

If you need to pass emissions.. I would just weld another o2 bung on the downpipe where ever you have room for it, instead of putting it in your test pipe replacing the secondary o2 sensor.

If you don't have to pass emissions, I would just disable the secondary O2 sensor and do the resistor trick for the secondary heater. Then put your wideband where the secondary sensor would be.

Thanks for all the quick replies I do not need to pass emissions and so I was thinking of getting a mechanical o2 fix, bascially an extension so the sensor sits farther away from the test pipe. Has anyone had sucess with this?

Or would everyone recommend adjusting it through evoscan and ecu?
