yep, mine was getting into the fan sometimes and popping open. it's definitely not a worthless mod, it just doesn't translate to any real hp gains best I can tell with my carefully calibrated butt dyno

Having said that if you own an Evo you can pick up any guy. I pull up to school and 10 guys surround my car asking me questions or they stare. I bought the wrong car.

yeah i got the 9 bov which I am putting on Sunday. I have to take out the battery for the bushings and anyways for the short shifter which i am doing then.

Where i got tuned said it was worthless for 02 housing and manifold. they said minimal gains for the cost....unless i want a full race vehicle. Daily driver like i said and I may put the test pipe on, but in traffic, i just feel bad, especially in the summer. I take 206 in NJ...most people from jersey know that it is a mess and gets congested......

I may get the piping since my flexy part keeps getting chewed in the fan.

pulling the turbo seems hard if you haven't done it a few times and shops will charge too much sometimes. However, the cost of the parts isn't bad, you can pick up a stainless steel 02 housing for ~ 200 bucks and a ported stock exhuast manifold for ~ 200 with core exchange on the latter and that's new.

A little convenience too... you don't need to screw with the UICP to take out the turbo or radiator with a short route.

megan 02 housing is $99 shipped and a ported manifold is gonna cost you $100 plus shipping and an exchange. Depending on labor and mods it is definitely a great mod. You will gain anywhere from 10-25whp.

Anyways, I noticed my fan is rubbing on the flexible portion of uicp....and considered putting some injen uicp in. Will I see anything off the upper piping...from what I read...probably not...but just hoping for some more opinions and what have you.

thanks
i had the same problem with the uicp rubbing on the fan all i did was loosen that bolt that holds the pipe and use 3 3/8 flats to act as a spacer and works fine if u want to spend the money go for it but this is just an idea i did to save some dollars
