Oil change an car is ticking like crazy...

Got an oil change at jiffy lube, the same one I have been going to for the past three oil changes. I get one today, go home then start driving to work and when I reach the parking lot I hear the ticking echoing in the parking lot. I'm like WTF is going on what could it be. I even have the jam lifters too(bled and installed properly by my mechanic). No ticking for the past oil changes except this one. Checked oil level and everything is fine. No exhaust leak or anything...

Mods are Blitz LM intake, hks 264 In 272 ex, perrin DP and HFC, hks exhaust, modified fuel pump by vishnu and tune by shiv about 35,000 miles ago, now with 40,000 miles....

Went to jiffy lube today and he showed me the video of him putting mobile one syn into my car, and today he changed it again with mobile 1 syn. My mechanic says its the lifters, did my jam lifters collapsed???

That is a serious mistake! I wouldn't get my car serviced there if I was paid $100 every time

Were you able to watch them put the oil you provided in your engine?

I took my wifes SUV there several years ago. The same day I noticed a line of oil going into my driveway with about a 1/2 qt puddle underneath.

The filter was about to fall off in two more turns.

Changing the oil on your own car is all part of the man-to-car bond required for future high HP fun

Wow I saw on tv one time that Jiffy Lube does not change your fluids but leaves what you have in their already! Change it yourself, plus you get to see if their is anything wrong with the car.

How many miles on your car?

Usually when lifter ticking happens it does so right after an oil change.

Either get new lifters or follow the FSM on how to service them - worked for me.

I got jam lifters about 6000 miles ago so I don't think its the lifters.. The car is a 2003 with 40,000 miles...

It sounds like they may have put in different oil in your car. Unfortunately I would never trust an outfit like Jiffy Lube what so ever.
