Evo IX, 91 Octane, Meth Inj, Cams 390whp/380trq

Just had my car dyno'd at Drift Office in Auburn WA on a Dynojet.

Mods:

Buschur 3" TBE with HFC

ETS Intake

UICP and LICP

Forge MBC (Peaking at 26.5psi)

AEM Meth Injection

Cosworth IX Cams

ACT Clutch

Tuned by Lucas English without a Wideband gauge, need to install one of those and get a full tune done, hoping for 400+....

390hp/380tq 4th gear pull

Other 2 were done in 3rd gear

This may have been a typo, but making sure you got tuned on 92 octane and not 91 as idk of any place here in WA that is 91? Great numbers and Lucas or JB are the way to go.

Am I the only one that thinks these numbers are low? VIII turbos with 9.8 hotsides were hitting the 400whp mark on a dynojet. Granted, all dynos read differently...

Woops yea, I meant 92 octane haha.

Yea I'm suprised it came out this good, because Lucas tuned it really safe because I had no wideband, so he was pretty much guessing what the AFR's were. The man knows his stuff, thats for damn sure.

Those guys are most likely running 30 psi. Those are awesome numbers for no wideband and only 26 psi thats great.

Huh, what the hell are you talking about??? No VIII is hitting 400whp with just an intake, exhaust (HFC at that), Intercooler mods (stock front mount), a boost controller set at only 26psi, cams, and meth, and this is with the stock ECU. Dude put the crack pipe down, your trippin'.

400whp with the 9.8 hotside

Nice #

With a good fail safe 400whp should be quite easy.

Well I would not say I am guessing on the AFR. I have a very good idea.

The timing and boost is conservative since we dont have a good fail safe on the car yet.

I think that the dyno reads a little lower than a normal dynojet...but good numbers nonetheless for the amount of boost on a stocker.

Very impressive numbers! Makes me think twice about doing a Green and just going with a IX turbo.

Are you running meth all the time? I'm thinking of running two maps. Mainly so I don't have to buy meth every week .

Also I had a friend making 380hp/410tq on a Dynojet with a stock 9.8 turbo VIII. He was running all bolt ons/cams/meth/AEM EMS though.

Wow those are some stellar numbers. 400whp will probably be easy with 28psi and a wideband. Damn and a HFC...is it a typical ceramic one? If so that is just plain fricken impressive. Mind telling me how much boost is held at 7k or so. Making me want meth no damn...

Btw to the dude smoking the green grass...there has NEVER been any VIII put down over 400whp with these little of mods with a HFC and only 26psi on meth. I know of about two that did 400whp with 32+psi and every mod you could have plus AEM....big difference.

I'm running Meth all the time, but it starts injecting at 11-12psi. The AEM kit comes with a 1 gallon tank, and that lasts me about 2 weeks.

Its a 100% meth mix.

By 7500rpm its tapering off to around 20psi.

i know im close to 400 with stock 9.8, ebay 02 housing, turboback ,100% meth, UICP, intake, intercooler and a bnice01 tune.

Before meth and a good tune i was putting down 330 so i wouldnt say 400 isnt possible. What about the guys who put down 360 + with bolt ons and no meth the FACTORY FREAKS

Your VIII with a 9.8, no cams and no LICP is putting down 330awhp? Can you ship me some of that sh*t your smoking over there in FL.
To the OP, nice numbers indeed. The Cosis are next for me and with more number like this, using meth, might be the next mod. Look forward to seeing what she'll put down after the fail safe and WB are added.
