Meth or Intercooler?
Well, ive pretty much narrowed it down to either an intercooler or a meth kit. I am still running a stock intercooler on all the mods in my sig... yes, I am running a 3065 with a stock intercooler. Im not doing too bad on the power. According to DLL, im making 393/329 on 23psi. Im sure my IATs are WAY high with the stock intercooler.
"Technically" speaking, the meth kit should cool the intake temps farther down than a regular intercooler, right? So, wouldnt I significantly make more power with the meth kit? I know the stock intercooler is not flowing the air very efficiently, but the meth could make up for this, right?
Curious on some opinions and for those who have tried this sort of combo before. Let me know what you think.
Thanks!

No the meth kit will not make up for a heat soaked intercooler or piping. the meth will alow you to run the boost to make it fast for short quick sprints. The stock intercooler should be heat soaked after two passes if your lucky. Yet you will make the power need by high boost and mor timing with meth . say meth kit hehe have some fun with it then intercooler. It would be sweet with both.

intercooler. even the most reliable meth kit is more prone to failure than an intercooler. even the best meth kit can run out. the right intercooler will not. meth is a nice addition but should not be used as a band-aid, and in your case it would be. go put the appropriate fmic on your car!

ETS
The stock intercooler is a roadblock to good airflow. I saw 26psi at redline with the stocker vs ALOT more with the 3.5" I run now.
You will make more power because you will be able to run more boost higher up at lower temps than less pressure thats colder because of the meth.

I dont ever plan to exceed 500whp, so the 4" is a little overboard imo.
I was interested in the ETS 3", which they told me is perfectly efficient up to 500whp.

Jackster You need that larger intercooler as the 3065īs compressor is capable of moving a lot of air. I like either one of Mellonīs two suggested intercooler upgrade choices. The thicker core ones are definitely what Iīd get if I were in your shoes. Then turn up the boost and a retune by 4 Wheel Slide!
