BR3065 Dyno #s, photos, videos...

No need to say much...

Excellent product, amazing quality, with a couple of key points for the fitment...

The car was built at The Shop, CT by Master Marlin and under the supervision of Jimmy... Can't say enough for the service, the friendly environement and the professionalism of this shop... Truly amazed every time i go there...

Old turbo...

The Nisei LICP had to be modded to mate with the BR piece and was beaded to stay in place under boost...

The car @ 23psi made 352.1 whp / 300 ft-lbs on 93 octane on the Dyno Dynamics uncorrected, when on the stock turbo and pump i would get ~305whp/325ft-lbs @ 23psi...

Junior who tuned the car said that we could push maybe another 10whp and the car could hold maybe 1-2 degrees more of timing but better be safe than sorry...

Now videos...

Start up

Dyno pull 01

Dyno pull 02

Dyno pull 03

Road test 01

Road test 02

and some of my favourites photos with the goldish color of the manifold...

Next week i will probably do the brakes, support bars (Buschur/AMS combo) and probably a racegas tune to see what this baby can really do....

Congratulations to David Buschur for his amazing products, Jarrod for support and help for my decision...

Many thanks to all the guys at The Shop, CT and first of all to Jimmy... . Truly professional and friend...

Many thanks to Junior for the tune and thanks for answering all of my questions (even if some of them might have been stupid... )

Highly recommended! All of them...

Looks good, but I think the 3065 should make a bit more power. That turbo uses the 35r comp wheel doesn't it?

Yes its the 35r wheel...

We could maybe get another 10whp or so but didn't want to push it... The car is extremely safe right now... like i want it...

What are other supporting mods? Are you using a cat? I understand your tune is safe and all...but I thought that setup should net at least closer to 400whp on pump gas Is that dyno on par with a dynojet or a mustang?....no bashing of your setup at all though, it does look really great

Your car sounds just like mine! Should have got a tune from 4 Wheel Slide though, because mine deffinetely sounds faster.

to give you a better idea on what I expect from the car with 300whp on that dyno I was trapping 114 mph on pump all day long with 3500 lbs race weight. Now I have 50whp more on pump and I will be a bit over 100 lbs lighter.... Dont get confused by the dyno #s...

Gain well over a 1000 rpm in lag. Lose 25 ft/lbs peak torque, and gain 50 hp.

Hmmmm... modding evo's is not always easy.

To make the number make more sense Uncorrected I made 485whp(correctionless) and trapped 132 in a subaru(old 6spd shift 5 gears) and Freddy302 made 460-470(correctionless) and trapped 132 as well. With the dyno set to "dynojet" correction Kuozmans car made bit over 420whp
So. ..
480 Subaru = 132 MPH traps "dynojet = 550whp
460-470 EVO = 132 MPH traps "dynojet = 540whp
Stock 08 STI makes 195whp with the dyno on Kouzmans correction of choice
Stock Evo makes around 180whp with this correction as well.

Dyno numbers mean **** anyway... See what it traps then we can decide.

To put it this way,...I had my car dynoed on that and it did 526..I then wen to a dynojet and it was slightly warmer out and I did 487. I dont care what any of you say. Jimmy's dyno reads more like a dynojet unless it was re-calibrated. Not a bash attempt at Jimmy as he's good people but from looking at teh numbers it looks like the dyno is reading low again.

Eitherway, car looks and sounds nice.

Loose 1000rpm of power band that goes completely unused when he drag races the car. The car never falls that low in the rpm.. Especially when he launches on the 2step.. 50hp is a **peak** value, what about the areas were he is up 75-80whp on the top of the rpm band? So does it really matter?

Lag is so overrated..
