So it is line lock with a restrictor valve when the line lock lets off? Not a bad idea.

Similar devices have been being used in Hot Rod and Pro Front for quite a long time already.

Why would it need to be adjustable if you get a perfect launch every time?

I think it's a great idea. It sounds exactly like my tractors 3 point/brush hog. Speed up or slow down the drop/lift. Good idea that moves us forward technically.

that's a pretty cool feature for drag racing! Can't wait to see the results...

Correct me if I am wrong... Its like an adjustable pill like the oem unit in the clutch line, right?

The easy way to set it is start really slow and then start turning the knob a bit at a time till the car starts to take off well

Better to start easy than hard

I'm guessing it has a bypass and 1st gear switch but, it's hard to tell from the pic.
Two options

1. AEM equipped vechicle - it works by configuring a switched output based on vechicle Speed and engine rpms it would autoamtically turn on.

2. Factory ecu equipped vehicle it is activated by the button - you hold down the button when you want it to work

NOTE * There is discussion of a third option which would include a line lock type clutch release where you get both the controlled clutch engagement AND a activation that is triggred by releasing a button like a line lock

It is very similar to the fluid control concept of the oem clutch restrictor

Differences are that its only active on the launch so it does not effect the other shifts

Also - its fully adjustable to allow the end user the ability to dial it in perfectly for his / her car
