Okada Project Plasma Blast Ignition Coils

Has anybody ever tried these? It sounds promising, but I don't really see people buying it. What are the pros and cons about these?

I haven't really seen much difference with them. The tendancy to knock doesn't seem to change and whether you are able to run 1-2 degree more timing is arguable based on conditions that do not revolve around the ignition coils. Have I had spark blow out with the stock units or okadas nope. They may however offer something at high power levels (500whp+), but at 400+ dollars i do not see the justification.

IMHO you are better off putting the money towards something that will yield "proven" power.

Plus I don't think you will see a huge difference on a stock car may be more resistant to spark blow out but I think the factory ones work well enough for what I am doing and would like to see some more testing with them. Dsport used them on their triple threat evo in the January issue here is the article

Hope this helps

still have my 01 vw turbo running APR software on a slightly larger turbo, bosch coilpacks are said to be weak, when i scan with Ross-Tech it always shows missfires, pretty expensive trial, i replaced stock coil pacs already with supposed upgraded ones. most vw owners complain of this issue
