theres only 1 way them things can go in right...
im very mechanically inclined. im sure if i can do a clutch in my car i can handle shifter bushings....

they didnt even change the feel that much when i did have them in. i felt like i wasted my money. the shifter BASE bushings are what makes the most difference, not the cable ends

Well I posted something about this in the AMS thread asking them to please make some. One of the guys that works there responded and said he will take a look at another 6 speed today or tomorrow.

That would be really nice to get a shifter base bushing kit from them, I would buy it in a heart beat.

I would also love to have a shoft shifter for the 6 speed. That plus the base bushings would be awesome!

The base bushings make a perceptible difference but it's far from dramatic (definitely not rifle bolt). I've had no issues with my under hood bushings. Greased them liberally and they were (and still are) good to go (PITA to install though). Very noticeable difference in feel and engagement (these give the rifle bolt feel). I have no interest in a ss for the 6 speed.

I imagine that a difference in base bushings is more noticeable if your cable bushings are still stock.

Just ordered some Buschur underhood bushings. Depending on how those feel I may or may not get a short shifter.

So these make a big difference eh? Do they take the play out of the shifter? I want the shifter to have as little play as possible.

Where'd you plan on getting a short shifter? To my knowledge only Works does it. In-house only and they are located in CA.

::Edit:: Get the base bushings and do them together.

Guys, the stock bushings in the 5 speed and 6 speed shifters are the exact same part #. Any set of shifte base bushings that fit a 5 speed should fit a 6 speed no problem at all.
