First off I want to say that I already searched and couldnt find anything really useful enough for me to trust.

Do they make any shifter base bushings for the 6 speed? I've seen them for the 5 speeds and really like how they feel. I want the same rifle bolt feel for my 6 speed.

From what I've heard the 8 peice base bushings fit but I went to lancer shop they said 5 speed only.

You probably need the underhood bushings for that solid feel, I heard the base ones don't do a whole lot.

I installed the Works base bushings on my six speed. IMO it felt like they made a difference.

Call Nate at SpeedSource.net They sell both the MR base bushings and the underhood ones for very good prices. I have bot of these on my 05 MR 6 spd

The base ones are made from aluminum. Easy install about 1 hour.

The shifter cable bushings under the hood are brass and it takes about 45 minutes. It is easier if you remove the battery box but not required.

Shifter feel is much improved.

Did you mean speedsource.com? I tried speedsource.net but got nothing, went to speedsource.com and got a phone number of 866-957-9000 but nothing else. Is that the right phone number?

Also does your shifter now feel like a rifle bolt when you put it in to gear and is there any play or is the shifter really stiff now?

when i had the cable shifter bushings in it really didnt make that much of a difference, but my car was really hard to get into reverse and 1st gear sometimes. once i switched back, it was normal

Yeah thats why I don't want them just the shifter base bushings. I heard the under hood cable bushings are really only for cars that are older and need replacing.

I got Buschur Underhood bushings. For $20 you cant complain.

^ maybe you installed the wrong one? or installed incorrectly...UH shifter bushings change the feeling a lot! more firm/accurate!
