Will do. When I'm tuned I will be sure to post up my results. Too bad I'm traveling for the next month...

For the record, I have been using Axis short blocks in many of my customer's cars without any incident. Also, when I was in Chicago my friends at P & L also highly recomended Axis as have many other Subaru tuners.

Axis has always delivered products in a timely fashion and products which work.

I did a TON of research before I select the person that we used to build up our STI short block and although there were a couple of people on other forums (same couple on this thread too surprise, surprise) that bash Ron's work at every opportunity, the overall feedback is Ron builds a great motor... A large number of them have been abused on the racetrack with stellar results too...

Although we haven't gotten this project completed yet (still a couple of weeks away) and I can't comment first hand on the performance of the short block - we're very pleased with what we've seen so far! Here are some pics for informational purposes of our STI short block built by Ron:

To the OP, good luck and looking forward to your results... It's pretty sad that people are OT'ing you're thread and some well respected forum vendors are jumping in as well - this thread should have been a happy experience for you!

Philthy748 - Thanks for the Kind words. But don't worry, I am very happy. Ron's a great guy and he stands by his work so I am looking forward to throwing some abuse at this motor.

Yeah been a while since I updated this. Just got tuned and it's running great. Numbers are in the sig.

The engine pulls nice and so smooth and hard and it's doing perfectly (even without knock control right now ) No smoking on startup, perfect idle, turned over the first time, breakin was a breeze. Can't wait to throw more boost at this thing with a bigger turbo
