You should be very happy with the smell (or lack thereof) and the power.

I live in Kalifornia and I dare motor cycle cops to sit behind me in LA rush hour traffic

We gots more of these cats available, so send a PM my way

I am running the AMS resonated Test pipe on my evo.

I was wondering if I can weld this inline with the mini-muffler that comes on the AMS test-pipe w/o losing too much power or causing too much turbulence??

How much do these cats effect the sound of an exhaust assuming it had a test pipe before hand???

Erik I have mine getting welded up at Tuning Technologies as we speak, then its a new tune to compensate for the switch from a TP to a Mil.Spec 100 cell HF cat...

thanks and hopefully you can make it out to Redline Time Attack at Buttonwillow to see all the Mil.Spec cars running...

I will hopefully get a picture up tomorrow. It's a small bullet cat....you can see it in the pic welded out of center next to the Evo 9 OEM unit.

The cat is about 5 inches long and weighs less than 2 pounds.

MJ23FE,

I have never gone from a test pipe to a 100 cell. I have gone from a standard 3" HFC to a 100 cell. Volume increases incrementally from a ceramic HFC to the 100 cell...like if you turn up the radio one notch in the car.

Blue Evo 8,

I am not an engineer, but the power loss should be relatively small...the farther away from your turbo, the colder the exhaust gets and the less of an issue restrictions become...so keep that in mind when you decide where to place your cat

It's been awhile. If I had to try and remember it was probably around 24psi peak or so.

Yeah, thanks for the tips... unfortunately I want to keep it near where the OEM cat is...

Anyone ever thought of splitting the exhaust into two pipes and running twin converters to increase flow?

That was brought up to me by a Supra owner. However, I am not an engineer so I don't have an answer for that.

Someone else will have to field that question.
