#61
They are good for at least 500 horsepower. 600 begins to push the limits of the cores, based upon what I've seen.

my 2001 audi TT uses a twin cat-downpipe but way too small, got a 3" setup not installed yet with a cheap HF 200 cell cat, a universal 100 cell prolly be good for me, you cant beat a good KITTY!!!!

I had the pre-production MIL.SPEC piece on for about 4 years. Eventually I could tell the PGM coatings were getting low, so I swapped it out. I probably put at least 100,000 miles on the original. Cat core looked great, I just wanted to put a new one on there.
However, even when the PGM coatings were low, it smelled nothing like a test pipe. I could just tell the exhaust wasn't being cleaned like it was when the cat was new. I probably have 20,000 miles on the new one and it's working like a champ. These cats should last at least until 50,000 miles. The PGM coatings are of high quality.
