It causes stress on the drivetrain because of harsh engagement. Its not really ment for street use.

he ment hard on drivetrain, due to agressive engagement, get the sprung type.

I am running THE act sprung 6 puck with gruppe-s flywheel and love it. Pedal isn't as bad as I thought and I shift even better than stock. It's either this or the excedy twin. If you have the money and you constantly beat on the car go with the twin but the 6 puck can handle everything you throw at it also. As for pedal feel it is about the same as the twin. To those who said the HDSS is good for his power then forget about it. That clutch is horrible for high RPM's and seeing his numbers he is probably reving higher than stock.

I just installed Xtreme pressure plate with 6 puck unsprung with my stroker and I love it. I went with unsprung cause ive heard of the springs in the sprung one coming out before, just worries me a little. The pedal is not bad at all and it isnt bad for Daily Driving.

There is no such thing as an Xtreme with HD pressure plate. It is either the Xtreme pressure plate or the HD pressure plate.

I have the XTSS in my car. That is the Xtreme pressure plate with the Street disk. Pedal is heavy, but does not chatter or anything like that. I would recommend it to anyone. People talk about lock-out, but that is a single disk issue IMO, not an ACT thing. For the price you cannot beat ACT clutches.

I ran a 6 puck unsprung on my Turbo Si and I know it was very harsh. Now I'm not sure how it acts on a EVO but I would go for a full face clutch at least the clutch will burn out not your drivetrain. But since your running so much HP why don't you get a twin disk?

Hey Dustin, I bought your cams from you if you remember. Havent gotten to run them yet, since my car has been down since then.

But back on topic. This will save you money down the road. Coming from experience. Get the Exedy. I had talked to Dan Buschur about it, and also some of my friends that have the ACT. They all hate it. The one kids is now slipping after 8K miles with only 3 launches on it and he only has about 350 whp. Thats on the 6 puck unsprung. Talk to Chris@NoLimit. He got me an AMAZING deal on the HD Exedy Twin. I have not regretted it once.

Aldo, if you want more info, just let me know, or talk to Dan about why the ACT isnt very good for the car. And I dont think there is anyone I would trust more than the guys at Buschur!

I have 13K miles on my ACT with many many launches and although I never had the car on a dyno I had a lot more than 350 whp at one point in time. It has never slipped. Maybe something was wrong with the clutch or install.

I do not personally know anyone who hates thier ACT clutch
