Engine swap question??
ok i got a 2003 lancer evo 8 im looking to do a 2.4L is the easiest way to go is a galant block and build that with the evo head... or take me 2.0 block and bore and get a stroker kit... if galant block the way to go would i search pistons for that block correct a 4g64 and the stock head bolts up and i looking to get it ported and stuff and just for time being will the stock tubro be able to run on this motor or no cause its a 2.4 now in stead of a 2.0 it would just be from home to work and never raced or stepped on

I have heard of some people using the ralliart block because all the accessories bolt in place and you can still use the serpentine belt...however, I am still unsure about the water pump issue I am looking to do this as well. I know someone here who wrecked his ralliart and said I can have his motor....So I will probably end up doing this sooner than later.....it is also said that you can use the stock evo timing belt...I too am curious as to how true these are
