2000max, yes, I have done quite a bit of testing on compressor covers actually. The changes are quite interesting. Sometimes there are trade offs that have to be made to make a turbo drivable.

I am not going into more detail than that. The rest of what I learned is "for sale".

Looks like there's a new KING in Cincinnati.
Nice job Tim

Now I want a peice

I did not look back over this thread but I am pretty sure somewhere in here there is a comparison of VW's car vs Tim's car to show the spool up difference between the HTA35r and the HTA88. In the comparison the two turbos spooled up almost identical. I found that to be odd.

Well today we got Tim's car back in here to tune it on C16, after a 3 hour drive here we got the tune done, car made 620 whp at 38 psi.

Here are the numbers, briefly to compare the spool up. You will find a 100+ ftlb and horsepower difference in the mid range in favor of the HTA35r.

Code:
     HTA35r HTA88 HTA35r HTA88
RPM Torque Torque HP HP
3000 106 108 61 62
4000 179 144 137 110
5000 409 312 393 299
5200 459 357 459 356
6000 488 473 561 544
7000 446 453 598 606
7800 412 426 612 635

Tim drove his today................sideways in 3rd gear on the damp roads!

NRP was open so we went out there at the last minute. We got there and I noticed something VWJEFF, remember your car when we took it off the dyno after the last pull? Same thing happened to Tim tonight! It started to down pour rain right after we got there and and the track closed.

David....good seeing you again today and as always, thanks for the hospitality and good stories.

The car is going to be NASTY on c-16. I laid into it in 2nd gear and as boost was coming up right before the tires spun because of the rain, it had that push you back in the seat feeling that I never felt from pump gas. Eric and I looked at each other and went holy sh*t!!

I then did it again in 3rd gear. Same feeling right before the tires started to spin. I bet that it will light the tires in 4th gear. I can't wait to drive this car on c-16.

That douche Camaro owner in Middletown that wants his dig race has something coming to him.

I haven't set up a date. But he's the main reason I wanted the c-16 tune now. I heard his new motor setup is good for 10.30's.

It's always good hanging out, even when I'm laying on my back, wet with oil on my hands

You guys call me Sunday if you head to the track, I'll come out.
