553 whp, 93 octane, just another day at the office.

In the end the combo of all the parts together is what makes it or breaks it for overall numbers and a very good dyno curve like this car has. Alot of people can try and put ~30psi to a 35r car on pumpgas and tune it to live, ie not detonate, but will the numbers be the same in the end?

Totally agree with the above. But I'd rather take my chances that Shell 93 would be Shell 93 and have 600 on pump then 450. For people out there so nutz to first spend over 25k on their 30k car. And then also knowing one bad launch and they might have 3k bill for transfer case or something like that. It just seems to me playing it safe on a $25k build is odd.
If I spend that much money, I better not have a Evo Green keeping up with me!

I have alway's said if you have the money to put into the car for a build like this, what's the big deal if you spend $7/gal for 110 octane or $12/gal for C16/Q16. Yes it get's expensive if that is your daily driver, but then again gas is $3.50/gal in my area for 92 or 91....we don't get 93 here. The race gas argument or pump/meth or e85 for that matter is for another thread entirely as this is a thread about pure pumpgas.
Againg great numbers!!

And i agree "in theory", but until someone bites the bullet and does it it's all hersay. I'm sure people are doing it they just aren't on the boards boasting about it, no disrespect intended, and there's probably some DSM's out there doing the same.

Let me just clarify and say, you need a great engine builder, great tuner, and great parts to do what Buschur is doing. And to think Buschur Racing is a real one stop shop for a build like this is really awesome. I don't mean to discredit the achievment. I just mean to point out that it's odd it's not replicated by other builds followed on this board.
And by replicated I just mean in the ballpark in terms of power output on 93.

David great job man
This is why my car is there as we speak.
Buschur Racing is by FAR the best and I mean BEST Evo/DSM shop in the country. NO other builder can come close to the quality or craftsmen of Dave and Daniel.
Tim, I love what I am seeing with our car man

Thanks for the compliments guys. This is going to be an interesting summer for sure. Tim is going to take the car like it is and run it for awhile. Then come back for a C16 tune in a few weeks.
For the question below, I've added prices next to what you asked about.
$2150 complete including internal Uego, 5 bar sensor, AIT etc.
Also, my remark next to the coil on plug (yes, the one that works) is just a statement that our COP works well.

vwjeff, your turbo didn't come in yet.............as soon as it does you are next buddy. For the rest of you reading vwjeff's car is at our shop, it's an EVO9 and is waiting on a HTA88 turbo. (37r) To date the highest HP EVO9 we have built is 9sec9's and it made 649 whp on C16. Looking forward to seeing what vwjeff's car makes for power.
The comments about tuning on the edge on pump gas. Seriously, these cars are no "on the edge". As a matter of fact this is getting easier and easier each time we build a car. As I said, today it took 8 dyno pulls on a completely fresh build to get the car to that power level. I am also getting much tighter on the "safety" side of the builds. This car would have made more power, no doubt. As you can see from the graph, it's smooth as silk, rich and I didn't even hit 30 psi.
This will be the year for 9's on pump gas in EVO's.

Just finished another build for Slorice, here on EVOm. Slorice (Tim) is a converted STi owner, I think when he drive his car we just finished he'll know for sure why he converted!!
Tim is another friend/customer and he just did the same build his friend Eric (spin2gst) did about a month ago. Eric's car is the highest pump gas EVO we ever built using the stock ported intake manifold and 65 mm throttle body. Well, just to keep things interesting between these two I left Tim short 1 HP from Eric's build!! hahaha This will make for some good conversations. Actually I didn't do it on purpose I stopped at the car "happy spot" and it just so happened that these two freaks were within 1 whp of each other. That alone is pretty freaking amazing.
I am posting the dyno sheet with AFR's and Boost on them, which is unusual for me. I just want to put a little more information out there.
The build on the car is:
BR 2 liter with Crowers/JE
BR Stage 3 head
BF272 cams
BR ported stock intake
BR 65 mm throttle body
BR double pumper
FIC 1200 cc injectors
BR inline boost controller
BR Race FMIC
BR 3" turbo back with MAGNAFLOW muffler
BR tubular header turbo kit with HTA35r
BR upper and lower i/c pipes, 2.5"
Tial BOV
BR lightweight battery kit
BR COP ignition (yes, the one that works)
AEM EMS
Tilton twin carbon clutch
Here is the dyno sheet for your viewing pleasure. BTW, the tune was done in 8 dyno pulls

David - I am so unbelievably excited to come get the car. Eric has been sending me emails and text messages for the last month about how fast his car and all the people he's made go "OH SH*T" by riding in the car!!
THANKS AGAIN TO ALL OF YOU!
It's been a long road for us...but you knew I would eventually come around!
