How about straight California 91 oct?

lower curves are stock. (it was strong stock too, normal stock 9's do about 230whp or so)

I think that would be around 400 on a dynojet but I hate playing that game.

For some reference, some FPgreen Evo 9's only make about the same power on this dyno.

This is a very strong stock turbo 9. All mods done right.

A new block isn't cheaper than a new 4th gear! I know that many stock motors are being spun to 8k and are problem free but I just can't get myself to do it.

My power starts to drop like a rock after 7k so running it to 8k wouldn't do me much good. I'd rather have the longer 4th gear to keep the car in the sweet spot of the powerband (max HP) for a longer period of time.

My guess is if you aren't bouncing off the limiter now the taller gearing would probably do more harm than good but if you are consistantly fart popping through blocks you will definitely see a solid return.

No 91 car will make 400awhp on pump. That is probably around 370whp.

Did you not learn your lesson the first time when you posted these numbers. TT dyno reads way too high and nobody will take you serious. You were supposed to take it to another dyno. Have you done that yet? Of course not because you are afraid of being proven wrong. Have you tracked your car?

I bang the limiter so believe me. I make power till 7400 but ride it out. Nobody that I know of destroys motors that way. I know I am not going to take out my tranny and send it out for just a longer 4th gear when nothing is wrong with it. Running the car out a little longer will yield the same time basically. So its either $1000+ for one gear or $250 for springs and retainers.

Yea don't doubt it. That's why I hate playing the dyno to dyno game.

It is for sure a strong **** 9 for 91. Holds the stock turbo pump gas record on our dyno. Next closest is 325whp.
