Walbro wine!!

so i have had my 255lph walbro in about 2 years now. recently it has started to get really really loud. im wondering if maybe i should change the filter. how long do people go on these filters?

also i tried unhooking my injectors to check the resistance in each one but i couldnt get them un done. i didnt want to break them so i stoped. anyone want to shed some light on how to take them off?

There is a little metal spring clip that you have to remove before you can disconnect the plug on your injectors. Once you get that off you should just be able to pull the plug off. My Walbro has been whinning since the day it went in. No worries.

Yeah, walbro 255s are generally pretty noisy. Probably nothing to worry about.

Go for it. It's so easy to do you could change every 10K if you wanted. It won't make the whine go away.

My walbro whines under these conditions:
1. Heat (hot day)
2. Low gas
3. First start-up

Seems like a normal thing with these pumps.

Heres when mine whines:
ALL THE TIME!!
When I first got my evo 2 years ago, I started minor upgrades and the pump was a lil noisey so I decided to change it. Got a Walbro, and turns out I also pulled a Walbro out of the car Figured it was goin bad, so threw the new one in, and WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE, all over again! No worries man
