You'd have a much better chance of trying to run high 6s at Barona then the Q. Even there I think you will need:

1. More power
2. Less weight
3. DRs

As you know, when you get to a certain time/speed threshold it takes a lot more power to go faster. I think you should pick-up a used set of wheels, get some MT ET Drag Radials, and go see what you can do!

Most definitely. He already ran a 7.4 on crappy tires with his previous setup. I imagine he could have ran a 7.2-7.3 on better tires. However, he is getting into the times where it takes almost double the power gains to knock off even a tenth of a second.

Alain is a very good tuner! He has tuned many Evos here in SoCal, to include my wife's Evo, and every customer has been very happy with the results.

Bryan,
Alan is doing his pulls in 3rd which makes it seem to spool more slowly. I hit 23psi in my 58mm kitted EVO VIII on a bone stock head with original GSC 272 cams in the 4200-4300RPM range on the road in 3rd.

I don't see why he couldn't break into the 6's. Im still on stock turbo/stock cams and my best 1/8th was a 7.2@95mph. I can't be making that much over 400whp. With over 500 it should definitely be doable.

Its a bit laggy....but when it hits....IT HITS! I have seen full boost @ about 4.3k in 4th gear & 4.7k in 3rd gear on pump gas...

Its missing the great low end that was possible with the green....but being that I am more of a drag racer the 513whp is more appealing to me
