Its missing the great low end that was possible with the green....but being that I am more of a drag racer the 513whp is more appealing to me

I will be going this Friday....wish me luck I hope the bottom end holds up and the axles stay intact
Awesome! Can't wait to see the track times. We will be down at the track also

Its not going to happen...at least at the track Alain is running on. The track conditions are horrible unless you are on DRs or slicks. There have been Evos making over 600awhp who haven't broken 7s at this track. Also, if he runs lower than 7.5 on his first run, he's pretty much done for the night based on the following track regulations:

7.49 - 7.00:
Driveshaft Loop
5 Point Harness
Roll Bar (Convertibles)
After Market Axles
Open Lug Nuts
Arm Restraints (open car)
Bellhousing (SFI Spec, MT) 6.1 6.2 6.3
Clutch (SFI Spec, MT) 1.1 1.2
Flexplate (SFI Spec, AT) 1.1 1.2
Flexplate Shield (SFI Spec, MT) 6.1 6.2 6.3
Protective Clothing – Jacket 3.2A/1
Steel Valve Stems-on drive wheels

6.99 0 6.41:
Harmonic Balancer 18.1
Roll Cage & Padding
Fuel System and Shut Off
No Wheel Covers/Center Caps
Trans Shield (AT) 4.1
Window Net

He was pretty lucky that he was able to run a 7.4 and allowed to run again with his current setup. He has a lot of mods ahead of him to stay within regulations.

So.....I went to the 1/8th mile Drag Strip and.....dang I suck launching the car with the new setup..I was bogging the car HARDCORE (I tried airing up the tires and slipping the clutch way more than I ever did with the FP Green but it just wasn't cutting it....it was just bogging...)..I was getting an average of 90-94mph trap speeds (which were kinda ok)....but horrible 60fts 2.5x+ that led to 9.xx runs ....back to the drawing board Might be the prime time to invest in the Buschur launching aide....if this doesn't do it that I am just screwed! Lol!

With my FP Green my best was the following:

7.431 @ 94.73mph w/1.732 60ft

Props to you big turbo fellas that get a good launches and some awesome times! The bigger turbos aren't as forgiving as the stock frame turbos when even a slight bog is encountered...any launching tips are welcomed!

Alan, is your 2step still the same from the Green? If so I highly recommend bumping it up and pulling a little timing out. I have mine set at 6000 whereas some of my big turbo friends are pushing 6500-6800. Ive launched big turbo Evos, they are much more difficult IMO.

Get some damm small front breaks, some 15 x 7" rims with a set of M&H 24.5 X 8.5 X 15 slicks. You'll put less stress on the drivetrain vs. Drag Raidals, and OWN the 1/8 mile. Those are the same slicks that Mike Reichen used to cut a 1.38 60 ft, and similar to the ones Curt Brown ran on his EVO.

Yes to what he said. You have to bump up the launch rpm so when the clutch is engaged the rpm fall to where the turbo is making decent boost. Bump it up till your roasting the tires, then trim it back down till your just squeaking them enough to keep it on boost.

I have my 2-step set up at 6750 on my 1G with a 30R. It took a couple trips out to figure it out. but once you do be ready to shift fast. Good Luck
