Quick Fix?? P401 Error Code, EGR?

Quick question. Today I went to have my car tuned from a guy up in Hickory and had some parts installed.

TurboBack Exhaust (with stock cat)
Drop in filter
Walbro Fuel Pump (installed today)
Forced Performance Wastegate Acctuator.

Long story short, on the way driving home (shop was about 1.5hrs away) I got an error code (CEL light came on). It said P401, which is the EGR code.

I am spiking at 30PSI for a spilt second, and then backing down to about 24-25. When my car was tuned, my tuner said that it had pretty much 0 knock, and that the A/F ratio was around 12 or 13. He said that he has never really heard of this code that much at all. Do you think that I got this code just because my engine is really hot and has been driving all day? We were street tuning it so the engine def. was run today.

Also, when I got home, the stick that you use to hold up the hood (when you pop the engine hood) was so hot that I could barely touch it. Is this normal for the engine to be this hot? My temp. gauge in the car didn't look out of place or anything. It was right in the middle.

Anyways, I'm going back next saturday to get my boost turned down so it dosen't spike at 30 anymore.

Suggestions thoughts?

most likely your egr vacum line popped off. Reach behind the intake mani (you cant see it) Feel around you will find a nipple. Then feel around for the vacum line. Put the line back on the nipple zip tie and your good to go. Its just for emissions anyway.

I can't get my vacum line to stay on. I tried putting it back on, and then tightening it with a zip tie and it still didn't work. Is this because I am running 24PSI of boost with a quick 30psi spike?

Also, when I put it back on, should the check engine light go away immediately.

idk a few days ago when i got my mbc installed and when I actually put them on I had a vaccum line come off and I pulled over to fix it with a ziptie and when I did it threw a code...so after driving a day with the cel on I got sick of it and took the negative terminal off the battery for 15 minutes and it hasn't come on since.

Did that mess up anything on your car like the battery or anything?

I use marine "bellows" adhesive for any silicone or rubber connections that are prone to pop off under boost. Good for IC pipes under high boost. Only downside is when you actually want to get it off, good luck. Glue "Stong Stuff"

Alright, I just got done double zip tying the hose. But, the check engine light didn't go off when I started the car. Is it supposed to go off immediately, or will it go off over time, or do I need to reset something.

My car ran fine without it.

Problem is, you can't really get a camera back there. I can't even see back where the line is, I just felt for the little nipple (there are 2) and then I felt for the hose that had popped off. So..all I can say is...feel for the nipple!
