Does your transmission chatter with the A/C on?
Mine chatters with the A/C on. It sounds like something is knocking around in there. It goes away when i press in the clutch, which makes me think its the flywheel. Its more audible when the car is warmed up. It doesn't make any noise without the a/c. It performs fine either way.
Anyone else?

Throw out bearing.
It's normal, and it's really not that loud. Just consider yourself a bit paranoid. Almost every manual transmission vehicle I've owned has had some level of throw out bearing noise.

Its completely normal and even more pronounced when you upgrade the clutch and even more pronounced when you have the a/c on. people think that I broke something when I park it with the TT on and I walk into a store. Its nothing to worry about.
Every evo does it

Yeah, when im in the drivethrough..the sound bounces off the wall and its REALLY loud.
I had the same type of noise in my M3 with ltw flywheel. That was because the flywheel was dual mass and the ltw one was not...so it would knock around at idle. Raising the idle made it go away, but thats impossible in a drive by wire system without cracking the ecu. so blah...
Anyways..im glad its normal. And i am paranoid...this is my first evo...a used one at that so i have no idea what a brand new perfect shape evo is like. Just a decent shape used one.

Def the throwout bearing, my 350Z had it too. Sounded like it had a bag of rocks spinning around in the flywheel when I shut it off. Seems like most high performance cars of any sort have a tendency to have a noisy throwout bearings. Oh well its normal and not really a big deal.
