IMO, it would make more sense to see how efficient it is over its "max effort" so that way we won't hear about u crying in 6 months when something blows up from using it all the time at the max effort...

First of all, looking at a turbonetics compressor map will tell someone jack **** about this turbo, as it is supposed to be a new design billett wheel. If it did, I could just look at the compressors rated choke flow and that would answer my questions.
Secondly, knowing the adaibatic efficieny will not tell me how relibale the CHRA is. Just look at all these people over spinning gt35rs and compare it to the number of gt35r failures.
Thirdly, the adiabatic efficiency is over hyped anyways. Using a good quality (read thick Garrett) IC core is far more important. Just think, if your IC core is 100% efficint, it doesn't amtter how efficient your compressor is.

All that being said, if I want to replace my PT67 with something that will make 800-850awhp, then it would be useful for me to know what this one is capable of making.

If you're looking for a realistic 800-850whp, you should be looking for something with at least an 85 lb/min compressor. I don't think this is your turbo.

I am more than aware of that, which is why I said that a map would answer my questions.
However, the name implies that about the turbo, which is why I asked the question.

Just finished up another test with this turbo. It made right around 730whp on our turbo kit with internal WG dump. I think it would pick up a few more hp with the external dump but that's what the car had. So far it looks like it will make about 70-100wph more than the GT35R with only a slight spool up loss.

Cheers

You can build a less comprimised exhaust manifold because you no longer have to accommodate a route for exhaust gasses around the turbine and can just focus on making the manifold as perfect as possible before the turbo.

I believe besides dealing with this the back pressure that is dropped from venting the dump externally is where the greatest gains come from but header changes will definately account for something.

So at what psi was this achieved if you don't mind me asking? Also will you be posting a graph of this 730whp pull?

It doesn't have an internal wastegate, it has a wastegate dump that recirculates back into the downpipe/exhasut vs dumping the wg to atmosphere.

I think he meant dumped the EWG flow into the exhaust and not atmosphere...but I could be wrong on what he said.

I had assumed that an internally routed wastegate already is required considering otherwise you would be bypassing the cat with the exhaust, which is a big no no.

That's like saying a test pipe is emissions legal.

Where did all this turbonetics talk come from? Is it just speculation or has AMS actually verified it is a turbonetics piece somewhere?
