Shep transfer case

Okay so my local shop just got my Shep stage 2 rebuild on my transfer case in. Shep and my local shop say to use Redline heavy shockproof for the fluid....I'm not doubting them, but almost 90% people on here say to ONLY use Diaqueen. So I was wondering why nobody recommends to use the Redline. Has anyone had any problems from using the Shockproof in the t-case?? Thanks for all help in advance. Oh, and I did search...but didn't come up with much.

Why don't you call Shepherd Racing and ask John personally? He built the TC, he has an ungodly amount of experience, I'd listen to what he recommends. I'd take 90% of John Shepherd over 100% of this board.

I have my doubts about Redline fluids. I talked with a very knowledgable oil person, cant name names on here, but even HE said never used redline.

Most people use diaqueen in there stock tc's... you no longer fall into that category. Listen to shep, if you trusted him to build your tc, why not trust him with the correct fluids to run?

That's a valid point. ^^^ If there's a warranty contingent upon using Redline, then I'd use Redline if the shop will stand behind their choice (in writing).

Okay guys, good points and info... looks like Redline Heavy Shockproof will be going in my transfer case. I appreciate the quick help!

Oh and by the way, I want to say thanks to Shepherd for having AWESOME customer service and a super fast turnaround time. I would STRONGLY recommend them for any of your drive train needs!
