You're hurting peoples heads writing like that. No such thing as mr cams either. Please put out all your mods with their exact name. If you can't do this nobody can help you. Go to a dyno.

sorry i'm a complete noob,
and have picked up right or wrongly from forums that mr cams is a good swap
from std??
a decat also being one of the first mods too?
i also read here that buschurs fmic will be a massive improvement over stock
fmic and a remap after fitting will bring gains?

Cams found in an mr are the same in every other evo. You heard wrong. Catless is a good work to use instead of decat. You will see a 5-15whp increase in an intercooler depending on your mods. Not a massive gain. I take it you are coming from something very slow. You need to do a lot of reading my friend. Search through our forums. The newb section in where you should be. We talk about the basic mods a lot. I will help you out though.

-3 inch turboback ( sound is entirely up to you) search for clips. Greddy Ti-C is a great exhaust if i had to do it again.
-open element filter such as apexi is a good one
-GSC S1's are a great all around cam if you have an 8. (what do you have?)Cams make great power and a must to me if you mod your car.
-Walbro 255 fuel pump
-Hallman MBC
-AND of course all evo's are slow to me until they get a tune. They are a completely different animal and this should be one of the first mods after a turboback and intake. I suggest 4WS.
Also some good mods
-Ported stock exhaust manifold
-02 housing
-Lower intercooler pipe

Depending on variation of mods after all of these you should be anywhere from 320-360awhp depending on which dyno you are on and should run anywhere between a 12.6 and 11.8 depending on how well you drive.

A lot of people on this forum are very vendor biased so you will be seeing a lot of leg humpers. Welcome to the site.
With all of these mods you should be around

He's in the UK. IIRC, their MR cams are different.

is the hallman a manual boost controller?
i'll be using a apexi avcr, didn't mention this as i don't concider it to be
a bolt that will give gains as such, it will merely try to achieve the boost levels i ask of it.

hey man dont let people dig on you too much...

Buschur Parts (i am biased) are some of the best parts out there, what are your power goals... if I was you (assuming you have the money) I would start out with all the bolt ons:

BR Race FMIC
BR LICP & UICP
Forge BOV (if staying w/ stock ECU) Tial BOV (if upgrading to AEM)
BR Mass Air Pipe
BR ported exhaust manifold
BR o2 housing
BR 3" turbo back exhaust
BR ported intake manifold
BR 65mm throttle body
BR inline boost controller
BR ported 10.5cm turbine housing
HKS 272 cams

this should be a good start

My bad i forgot... you will need a new pump and a flash... with all that you should be looking at 360-370 whp... you will also be looking to upgrade the clutch since the stock evo clutch sucks

Hey man,
Just shot you a reply in the "stock turbo IC upgrade" thread with a picture of the stock vs. ETS LICP so you can see the difference in routing and size. An intercooler and LICP upgrade combined with a turbo-back exhaust system, fuel pump, cams and a retune will make for great results! There are a few other parts in there that will help get you going so if you're interested in discussing all of the option don't hesitate to get a hold of me
