When the splines on the hub get damaged then the clutch will start to do exactly what you are talking about. Inspect the hub on your clutch disc's and make sure that they are good. We use a spare evo input shaft when we are aligning the clutch to make sure the there are no issues. You also have to be carefull when installing the trans. You can't hang it from the clutch or try to draw it in with the bolts during the install. This can damage the hub and will cause engagement/disengagement isssues, slipping, etc. I just replaced the disc's in ours after 2 full seasons of abuse.

good info guys, thanks for the help. I haven't contacted exedy yet but I probably will once I get it out. I'm not planning on putting money back into this clutch but I do want to know what went wrong. The clutch was fantastic for a very long time with tons of hard launches...the problem didn't begin overnight, it was over a long time that I had to keep adjusting the pedal. The engagement point didn't change, it's just that I had to keep adjusting the rod out to keep it from hanging.
Maybe it'll be covered under warranty and if not I'll have to decide if it makes sense to have it rebuilt and sell it or not. I'm still leaning with going to the tilton twin carbon

I can't believe so many people have this problem with such low millage on the clutch. I really don't think it has anything to do with excessive wear or heat and this really concerns me about Exedy's reliability.

funny how these clutches are touted as being the best but when you talk about a problem others will start talking.
it was a fantastic clutch for a long time so maybe its just worn out.

just ordered the Tilton twin carbon clutch from Buschur (thanks Jarrod, David and Nick)
It'll be interesting to see how it behaves vs the Twin Exedy for the street/strip use and abuse I'll be putting it through.
I'll check out the twin exedy when I pull it and determine what to do with it then.
