Basic Trans Rebuild?

My Trans is out and I want to replace the syncro's whiles it out. I'm in the Northeast and wanted to know what parts I should order and who I should get them from.

thx for the reply.. I want to replace the syncro's myself. Just didnt know the best place to get parts at a good price and semi local to speed the process up.

Oh no doubt sorry misunderstood. Just order new ones from mitsu thats what all the builders use anyway

Get them thru the dealer they can have them in a day or might have them in stock. Tell them your with a shop and you want a discount

can the synchros be ordered or do u have to order the entire gear set say a 4th gear

You can order the synchros separately. I got the 5th/reverse synchro, so I can fix the 5th gear grind problem.

1-2 Synchronizer Sleeve MD749220 qty 1 <--- Only needed if the points are rounded
1st gear synchro & 2nd gear synchro MD770748 qty 2
1st gear synchro spring & 2nd gear synchro spring MD748670 qty 2

For 2nd- to-3rd gear shift grinding noise, use the following new, improved parts:

3-4 Synchronizer Sleeve MR581388 qty 1
3rd Synchronizer Ring MD770348 qty 1
3rd Synchronizer Spring & 4th Synchronizer Spring MR581389 qty 2

For 4th- to-5th gear shift grinding noise, use the following new, improved parts:

5-Rev Synchronizer Sleeve MN168859 qty 1
5th Synchronizer Ring MR581382 qty 1
5th Synchronizer Spring & Reverse Synchronizer Spring MR581383 qty 2
Reverse Synchronizer Ring MN168934 qty 1

Factory Liquid gasket MD997740 qty 1 <---- the only stuff I use

The 3,4,5 & Rev parts are from TSB-04-22-003REV

Great info! What years does that TSB apply to? If I am grinding going from 4th to 5th will the dealer replace or rebuild it under warranty? Thanks again.
