Honestly a FWD platform would be more competitive if you really competed in a sanctioned event!
There's an EVO out there that the motor was turned to face north/south and is backed by a complete Nissan Skyline drivetrain form tranny to rear end. Should that car be allowed on the EVO M list?
Every other forum/board has gone thorugh this transformation allready. It's just that the EVO community is late in the game. What worked for everyone else was what I suggested. One list for OEM style drivetrian and everything else regarded as outlaw.

I guess the big question here that has everyone excited is "What IS an EVO" for the sake of this drag race competition.
Stock is one extreme. The FAR extreme is an EVO shaped fiberglass body on a 6000HP funny car. Somewhere in the middle lies our answer.
EVO shell on a tube frame with EVO drivetrain?
Chevy RWD drivetrain in a full interior stock bodied EVO?
ALL mitsu drivetrain and only 1/2 tubular (front or rear)?
ALL EVO drivetrain with full EVO chassis?
And WHO gets to decide where to stop? The major player shops? The customers? The media? EVOM moderators?

No one can mandate what is and what is not an Evo
Every INDVIDUAL will draw his / her own conclusions and reach their own determination
In the past when I attempted to have a rational conversation and dialouge about comparing 2400 lbs cars with no doors and fully gutted to full body cars with stock doors and windows I did not get a lot of support for my thoughts and i drew a lot of fire and anger from those who were making those cars
With the currecnt state of the scene there is no rule book unless you go racing at Nopi like Mike from USP which requires a lot of stuff I dont feel I need like
headlights
wipers
70 mm turbo limit
weight limits
ONLY with uniform rules can you have a rational competition

I've seen various claims as to the quickest and fastest, but for anyone to stake a claim as to the 'quickest' or 'fastest' EVO, there needs to be a consensus on just exactly what fits the definition of an 'EVO'. Rules and definitions make a racing a contest of skill. Without rules there can be no proper contest, and without a contest, there can be no 'winner'.
As for now, it's just a matter of who is going to throw the most money at it.
Based on recent changes it's clear and only fair to ALL parties to implement some basic rules. A good start would be crispeed's suggestion.
