I applaud your effort, but must say I don't think this list will go anywhere. There are probably literally THOUSANDS of options, when you consider different A/R's, manifold options, twin vs single scroll, standard vs HTA, Garret vs Precision vs Turbonetics and such of all these turbos.

Probably be able to use the "search" option and be able to look for what specific purpose you want your car to be and narrow it down. But like what Pirate said, the possibilities are endless.

Well in that case how about categorizing it by specific purpose? Example:
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Drag racing applications:

1.X turbo
info etc....

2. x turbo
info etc...
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Road racing applications:

1. xturbo etc....

--------------------------------------------------------------------

If not going into real specifics then maybe just general info about the turbo and which application of racing / daily driving it would best be used for. Then people can search for more detailed info about the turbo in interest.

It still might be a huge post but with a lot of info though. Then we can sticky this and hopefully people can see the sticky before starting a new thread.

Why not have people just start filling in the blanks instead of deciding what will and won't work? The search function works great but all the info being requested is spread over a **** ton of individuals threads.

really though, head/cam choice has a huge effect on how each turbo performs, so its going to be mostly opinion based on who has ran the turbo with "xx" setup

You could spend a BUNCH of time searching and making the list the way you want it. It would probably end up a sticky if you do it right.

i think its a really good idea, should offer a reference point, and stop allot of redundant questions that happen allot in all forums.

bump for updates.

Even if each person just contributed a SMALL amount of information, we could compile a general list with some general information for ppl to reference.....

Bump, over a year later and i still think this is a good idea. lol. And I'm doing a turbo swap this winter and need to start preparing. HTA35R = street beast?? I'd know if everyone just contributed a very little!

We have it for rims, cams and other stuff, why not the one thing we're all here for?? TURBOS!
