I suggest to keep it 2.0lt if you don't want to mess with ported block.

The power band is just to short for me not enought MPH out of the gears.

How high do you rev the 2.3? Maybe you should of went with the 2.3rr.

You could also go to a different final drive, such as the HKS 4.11, to make up for the lack of MPH.
