Has anyone used a Spec clutch in their evo
I drive a 05 Evo VIII gsr. My clutch recently went out completely. I was running the Fidanza 3.2 kevlar 4 puck with the Fidanza flywheel.
My prospects for a new clutch are:
ACT HDSS or HDG6
Spec stage 3+
I was wondering if anybody has had any experience with Spec clutches before? I for one have never heard of them. Any input is appreciated.
Here are my mods:
Buschur racing 3" TBE
Megan o2 housing
Megan exhaust manifold
Forge DV
Buschur racing intake
Dynoflash roadtune ECU reflash
25 psi peak

I would STAY THE F AWAY from Spec. I just build a trans for a customer of mine and he wanted used there clutch. I told him not to but he says all the VW guys love um...
3 weeks later he calls my other buddy that did the clutch and tranny install (all i did was build the trans) and the car will not shift. my buddy pulls the trans and the pressure plate broke.
search on here and you will find the samething happens in the Evo's
