I had lots of problems until i replaced the front motor mount with a stiffer one. I've found the Evo has a lot of engine movement built in to the motor mounts, and with age they flex too much, pulling the hoses this way and that. I havent had a problem since I upgraded the mount

That depends on how annoying you think popping hoses off various portions of your intake system is. It took me three times to learn the value of better IC hosing/piping...

Well, I got the T-bar clamp for the I/C hose. I sprayed hair spray on it. Clamped it down tight (I thought). Took it for a test drive and it was fine until I gave it some strong throttle and the darn thing BLEW OFF again!!!!!!!!
How tight do I need to tighten this clamp? I didn't want to strip the threads (?)

ON It, in it, around it...
It's OK... I'm stupid when it comes to this
That's why I'm asking you guys
Can you strip the threads on the t-bar clamp from being too tight?
If I crush the pipe, I'll just have to get another one
How long does the hair spray need to "set" ??

1. You can strip the threads on anything
2. Youll have to have it on waaay overtightened to crush the licp
3. Depends on how hot everything is. Here in AZ, just a couple minutes
Spray both the inside of the coupler and the outside of the licp, put it on, and crank it down pretty good. Let it sit, IDK an hour, then boost it and see what happens. You can even mark where ur cranking it to(what thread), and if it keeps comin off, tighten it up 1-2 more turns above mark till it stays on.

That's real good advice.
I'm gonna do that in the morning.
Thanks !!!!!
