Ebay TBE's?

I am looking into buying a cheap TBE off of ebay, and I was wondering if anyone has even purchased a cheaper exhaust off of ebay and how did they like it? Here are the 2 TBE im looking at to buy. I dont have alot to spend thats the reason im going with one of these.

It will rub on the ACD and transfer case, don't do it. Buy one that is worth putting on your $30,000 car.

downpipe-back the exhaust is fine, sounds good too. but as Thegame said, the downpipe will most likely eventually rub on your TC for sure if you have a 05+ evo.

Right and you base your claims on what again? personal experience? probably not.

Alot of people run the ebay turbo backs some have problems with rubbing others laugh at everyone else for paying over 250 for an exhaust and love it.

Do some searching and don't listen to other peoples biased opinions like thegame guy up there.

I have the ssac one and works and sounds great. Makes very similar power to the big names just looks different. The muffler is really big and that is what a lot of people complain about. This is about the only thing i'd go cheap on the Evo though.

Since you opened your mouth, Ill put you in your place.

I have a 05 ACD Car with Ebay exhaust.

I love it, cheap, sounds great. Rubbed a hole in my Tcase after 10k miles, and was pouring Tcase fluid all over it. I needed a very quick fix, took a shot in the dark, used JB weld to fix it. Held up fine for over a year and when I was swapping engines, I decided to get it welding and get it fixed.

Did that, ended up something happened and leaked ACD Fluid in my Tcase and tore my transfer car up. Theres your claim.

After it rubbed a hole I switched to the Helix V2 Downpipe and its worked fine ever since. But if it werent for that exhaust I wouldnt have to buy a new Tcase.

But the Exhaust other than that is great. Cant complain.

Go get the Ebay exhaust and buy a Helix V2 downpipe and youll be fine.

There are a few eBay downpipes made for cars with ACD, just read the descriptions. Overall, they are great for the money. They seem to hang a bit low under the rear axle but thats really my only complaint about them. I'd also recomend a resonated testpipe just to bring the noise levels down a bit. My friend's is louder than my Buschur Quiet, but quieter than the Buschur Bullet.

I have an 03 so i dont believe it should rub on the TC, like i said i dont have much to spend and i dont think its neccesary to spend $1000 on an exhaust.

No its not neccessary to buy a 1k exhaust.

03-04 DONT have ACD. ACD cars have the problem with them. If you dont have ACD your fine. If you do buy a new DP.

a 3in pipe is a 3in pipe. Ive had mine for 3 years now with alot of HP and im happy with the exhaust.

I'd go with the SSAC. Although if you can find one with a resonated testpipe and resonated mid-pipe, that's what I would pick...
