It was post radiator, IIRC.

Man, I knew I should have put my oil cooler back on for the trip to Cinci this past weekend.
Btw, I drive my evo to work 3-4 times a week in 20min of traffic each way. I'm also in sales so I drive it to appointments all over the Akron/Cleveland area. It sees more miles than my daily does, all while averaging over 30 mpg!

There is a thermostat (vernatherm) that allows the oil to bypass the cooler until the oil temp is hot enough.
If your oil never gets hot enough to seat the valve, you're good. It's primarily for extreme heat conditions. If you lived in Mexico and you removed the oil cooler, then I'd say you're asking for problems.
It mainly helps with the longevity of the motor.

This is not a visual mod. If you understand how aerodynamics/fluid dynamics work, you will understand why this works. Yes, I'm not going to pick up half a second from it, but every little bit helps. Its just like removing weight from the car....10lbs here, 10lbs there and next thing you know you have 100 pounds out of the car.

It is not a "visual" mod, blocking those holes off. It is an aerodynamic mod blocking them off, that's why they did it and I did it.
Yes, thanks for the correction on the air to oil cooler, correct. I type without thinking at times, ever notice that about me!? haha
I think the ideal situation would be to block the holes off like pictured and if you are running an oil cooler get the flat front undertray we make and put a NACA duct in it and route it to the oil cooler.
Indy, what do you think about that idea?

Wow, surprised! I get online and find a new product I want to buy........ wait a minute, that happens EVERY day it seems like now, lol. Great job as always! I wonder how much this would help a car only trapping around 120. Ah who cares, it looks cool anyways and will match my CF emblem on the front.
