Indy Intake V2 done and tested.

justboosted 02 there is not one fabricated manifold that I have seen that was done 100% properly. They all look the same and some run pretty close. Some have had failures and some have not. The chances of a cast mainifold failing are remote at best, they take all the stock hardware and emissions hardware and most of all they are reliable, that is what I wanted for my daily driver. I have a fabricated manifold and a carbon one started, no one is going to pay what I want for the carbon one, I did it for myself and the fabricated one might see daylight at some point. To do a proper fabricated manifold would require more time to get what I would accept. Most if not all the available manifolds are very simple and have zero flow work done to verify each runner on every manifold produced. Every manifold produced at Wilson's gets the same treatment and care any top professional race team would get. I hope this answers your questions. Indy

Indy actually started a carbon fiber intake for me a few months back. He then had an idea that he thought he could outperform most, if not all, the other intakes by simply modifying the stock intake. Seems as though he was correct.
We actually did not realize the amount of time and labor that would go into these as we thought originally, that it would be easy to offer these at a fairly low price. When the clock stopped though it was not as fast as originally thought.
Bottom line is this, don't like the price? Move on, buy something else. The DI intakes are $900, I have them ready to ship. Just stop crying about the pricing, if it's to much buy something else. Give us a break already.
EDIT, I didn't see Indy's response but this goes along with it.

Stock turbo'd cars/green cars will get taken care of eventually on the dyno.
Anyone who wants to buy these just call us and order. You won't be charged until the parts are done and ready to ship out.
Mike, thanks for getting some over to Wilson. I have a batch to send out here, just waiting on enough orders to ship them down with details how we want them done, V0, V1 or V2.

The domestic guys dont flinch at $3k+ price tags for some of the sickest manifolds.. IMO this is a gift that someone like Wilson would take on this project. We have to thank Indy for making it a reality!!!

Yep the R&D is what you are paying for, not the materials. Everyone would like to get the best stuff for crackhead pricing, but in all reality these guys have to make a profit to make it worth spending their time developing, testing and producing superb products.
20 hours of work for $1500 is $75 dollars an hour. I am sure many of you have probably spent 50 or 100 to install something at a shop that took 30 minutes. Think about that for a second.
Paying someone $100/hour to install an exhaust that any pre-teen could do. And not willing to pay the $75 an hour for a true professional with the knowledge and history to back it up....use a little common sense here guys. He's got to eat too!

A cast Wilson Manifolds run for ~1k and port jobs run ~$700...
I would still not hesitate paying the $1500 asking price for this manifold if there was data to show what the value proposition is for my setup (stock turbo/green) over the current stocker...
Looking forward to the testing Dave and thanks again for brining additional options to the community

Thanks for your time.......first off, i commend you for answering all the questions you do, to me or anyone else for that matter......especially when the answer was given 100000 times before! This action validates your desire / goal for the sport. No *** kissing, etc....just the truth
i just wanted to know about air density, thats it.
your the one who said you felt you were being called a liar, i never even implied that.
i just asked for additional data.....
once again, its great that you post your findings. guess what, so do other people....
once i see you walk on water, my belief in 100% of what you say will remain the same....

Philthy748, I designed a v2 Green for 9sec9 he will run one next week sometime also Trent, Buschur's welder will run our v0 street version. These manifolds make power, period. Wilson's policy of not disclosing any information about customer manifolds or how they are built and why things are done has been around for near 30 years. Both Keith and I have been doing this for longer than most members on this forum have been alive with pruven results in all forms of racing on the land, sea and air. Against our better judgmen this is the first time any information has been disclosed on how something was done and how it was finished. Ask the other manifold manufactures for info on how or why they do things and I'm sure they won't tell you. This is a top of the line racing component. We take pride in our R&D, engineering, and staff who have designed, built and contributed to more wins and championships in all forms of racing than all the others combined. Indy
